Transaction Details Report Enhancement
We have changed the name of the link on the left navigation page from ‘Transaction” to “Transaction Details.” We have also added the search result totals and pagination at the top and bottom of the page. And lastly, we have added correct formatting to the search result totals for proper commas and formatting.

Deep linking
We have added validation for all our deep linking functionalities in the UI, Bookmarklet, and API. This is in case you accidentally add a destination URL that does not match the corresponding advertiser. Usually, if this were to happen, some advertisers would automatically redirect to the default link (homepage), but others would break the redirect.

Product Feeds API
A bug was fixed on our /products/full API endpoint that was preventing users from paginating past page 500. If you were trying to pass page=501, it would not return a valid response. This is now functioning correctly in production. We fixed another bug in our /products/full API endpoint that prevented users from getting a valid response when calling the API using only the &url= parameter. This query will try to match a product URL with a product record to retrieve all information available.

Transaction Report

On the Transaction Report page, when you do a Quick Search or click on a Sale ID on the results page, we have a summary section of that transaction. We have updated the field transaction date to “event date” to reflect the actual date the transaction was converted on. Before, we were showing when the transaction was reported to our platform.

Please remember that you are still required to create your feed subscriptions. You can do this individually or by selecting “subscribe all” to allow a 24-hour window for those files to populate. Once the files are created, you can then call the HTTPS link provided. It will automatically download the compressed product feed file in either CSV or XML. Also, once the file has been downloaded, it will need to be decompressed.

An error was fixed on the date type filter “Posted Date” for the transactions that use a pending status and are locked and approved on a later date.
When a transaction has a Date Event of April 15th and has a Locking Date of July 1st, the transactions were not showing on the reporting filtered by July. Now, if you run a report by Posted Date for the month of July, you will see which transactions were posted in the month of July and changed statuses from Pending to Approved.

Performance Report Update

A bug occurred when using the pre-determined range filter of “Yesterday.” There was a discrepancy in reporting clicks, sales, orders, and commissions when you used this data range compared to using the custom range to pull yesterday’s data. It is now fixed, and you can see the same data for the pre-determined filter and the custom range.

We have continued to work on adding the option to run reports for all traffic sources at once.  We have added the option to download sales reports and click report via our Report Feed from all traffic sources, either all at once or one by one.

Our Report Feed is a convenient way to generate a report URL that allows you to update the parameters, such as the start date and end date, and be able to automatically download a CSV file when you visit the URL.

This report URL has your API Key, which authenticates you as a user to your account, so you can visit the URL even if you are not logged into your account and automatically download a report.

Account Level Reporting – The long-awaited account-level reporting has been added to our Performance Report section. This feature has been a top request from our publishers who currently have more than one traffic source on their accounts.
Initially, it was difficult to see overall reporting for the entire account unless you run multiple reports by switching from one traffic source to another. Now, you have it all together in the Performance Report! You can filter the data by Date Range, Advertiser, Link Type, and trend the report by daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly. Also, you can compare date periods to see trends of increases and decreases in performance.

Run a performance report by date range

This is an option in the “Performance By” filter, which will allow you to see reporting grouped based on dates for the current domain. You can run stats for your account for any timeframe and group the performance by Day / Week / Month / Yearly. You can also add comparison to this report.

Advertiser Filtering

In the advertiser report, we have enabled an advertiser multi-search function so you can select to view your performance by a specific advertiser and see their performance trend on the chart, or you can also select multiple advertisers at once.

Performance Summary

A summary of clicks / orders / sale amount / commission has also been added for you to quickly see the total amount of all these metrics that are being shown in the data grid.

Trend Charts

Our trend chart has a different look. It is now a line-chart that plots clicks / orders / sale amount / commission, and each has been given a specific color. If you wish to only plot one metric at a time you can click on the metric you want to disable or enable.

Default this week on page load

When you are visiting the Performance page it will automatically load data with filters “This Week” based on the Date Range and trended daily.

Lastly, a bug slipped to production in the range filtering for “Last Month”. If selected, it will default to 01/01/2021 – 01/31/2021 instead of 2022. This will be fixed in our deployment next week.

Sub Tracking IDs for automated linking

We have added more enhancements to our WordPress Plugin. With the automated affiliate linking, you can add Sub-Tracking IDs to your links. Once the Plugin has been downloaded and updated on WordPress, on the page where you add your content to your post, you will see a section labeled “FlexOffers Sub Tracking” to add up to 5 sub-tracking IDs.

Payments API 
A new API endpoint has been made available.  This endpoint /payments/summary will let you pull your payments issued to your account. The response will have paymentId, paymentDate, paymentMethod, referenceCode, and amount. Once you’ve called the summary endpoint you can call this other endpoint /payments/details using the paymentId. You will be able to retrieve payment details for that specific payment period. For accounts that have multiple traffic sources within one account, you also can pass DomainIDs to pull data for your traffic sources individually.  The field also supports comma-delimited lists in case you want to pull a report for 2 traffic sources out of 3.

We have developed a new API endpoint allowing publishers to submit advertiser applications to join their affiliate programs. We have had some publishers in the past trying to automate the process new advertisers launch on our platform, but this automation usually breaks.
To apply to a program, you will first need to retrieve the T&Cs of a program using the /advertisers/advertiserTerms endpoint.  You will need to pass the Advertiser ID, and once you have retrieved the terms, you can proceed to call our /advertisers/applyAdvertiser endpoint again with the Advertiser ID and signaling “true” or “false” if you agree to their T&Cs. If your account has been set to a VIP Status and the program is non-restricted, you will get automatically approved. If the program is restricted, you will be set to pending status.

Product API Update
We added a currency field to our /products/catalogs & /products/allcatalogs API endpoints. In the response, you will see currency using the alphabetic ISO 4217 code.

API Updates
Sales API – We have fixed a known bug that was causing duplicate entries in our /allsales API endpoint. This was due to a new field “IP” that was added to the response and not populating correctly. Now the IP field will correctly list the IP that was captured by our tracking platform in IPv4 and IPv6 formats.

Products API – Some publishers were experiencing issues when calling our /products/full API endpoint by passing a CatalogId & CategoryId that was not giving a response. A fix has now been deployed to make sure the API responds to these queries.  

Reports Update
Transaction Report – Last week’s deployment created a bug that removed the OrderNumber column from our Transaction Report when using the “Orders” filter. It has now been updated and users can see the OrderNumber in the response again.

Postback Reporting – We have put another fix in place for our Postback Reporting that allows for real-time reporting from advertisers who support it to our publisher’s tracking platforms. We found a bug where some advertisers would ping the same postback multiple times, which could create duplicate entries on the publisher’s tracking platform. This has now been fixed and our system will not accept duplicate entries for our Postback.

For our /advertisers API endpoint, we added another field called “lastCommissionUpdated” that will have a date stamp of the last time an advertiser updated their commission. You can also sort the columns by this field, either ASC or DESC.

If you would like a list of all your approved advertisers that have recently updated their payout, and sorted by newest to oldest, you can make the API call like this: https://api.flexoffers.com/advertisers?ApplicationStatus=approved&ProgamStatus=approved&SortColumn=lastCommissionUpdated&SortOrder=DESC&Page=1&pageSize=50

A new API endpoint was introduced that will allow you to create a deep link for any of your approved advertisers. The API endpoint is /deeplink and it has query parameters for “advertiserID”, “URL”, “fobs”, “fobs2”, “fobs3”, “fobs4”, “fobs5”. The fobs parameters allow you to pass up to five sub-tracking IDs.
